The years go
by so fast!
Here we are
again, ready
to start a
new year of
fellowship,
working
together,
praying
together and
sharing. The
women of our
congregation
are
extremely
dedicated
and really
work well
together,
which makes
my job as
president
really easy.
I'm
extremely
thankful for
all of the
officers and
helpers that
work so hard
during the
year to
accomplish
so may tasks
and goals! A
special
thanks to
Rae for
accepting
vice-president
and Marge
and Dorothy
for
continuing
on with
their
secretary
and
treasurer
positions.
Thanks also
to the many
mission
officers for
their roles
in the new
year!
As we take a
look back,
we want to
thank June
Vix for all
of the work
she did this
past year in
serving as
our
president.
You did a
great job.
Thank you!
June hosted
our
allocations
meeting at
her home. A
wonderful
brunch was
served and
then we got
down to
business. We
allocated
$11,000 to
various
groups and
organizations.
A complete
list will be
available at
the annual
meeting.
This was
possible due
to the
various
undertakings
that the W/ELCA
women took
on during
the year. As
you read
last month,
the annual
fall supper
is a huge
fundraiser!
The fall
bazaar and
other events
during the
year have
become
traditions
as well and
provide
income for
us to
distribute
at the end
of each
year.
Various
projects at
our Cross of
Christ
Church have
been funded
over the
years by
funds from
W/ELCA. It's
a great
mission
work!
Our annual
W/ELCA
Christmas
program and
installation
of officers
was held on
Dec. 9th.
Music was
provided by
Pastor Lane
and Lynn
Meyer as we
sang along
with
Christmas
songs. Mary
Circle had
the program
with a
reading by
Margaret
Anderson and
ginger bread
was served
with coffee.
Thank you to

that helped.
